THE COUPLE THAT PRAYS TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER.

Many are called but few are chosen
“Everything is ready. Come to the wedding.” I have been at many weddings over the years and it strikes me that no matter how many you go to they are always great occasions. You never get tired of them. That’s what Jesus wants for us as his people – that we would be wedding people, joyful, happy, and celebrating. In response to his word this week make a special effort to bring this sense of joy to one another, as this is a vital way to practise our faith. This is particularly important in our homes so that all who live there may know the wonder of God’s love. It takes a real effort on the part of everyone to constantly create this sense of gladness but it is well worth the effort. It is also so important in our faith community to develop this sense of freedom for one another so that others can come to know how much they are loved.
Morning Prayer, when together
Lord, our help and guide,
make your love the foundation of our lives.
May our love for you express itself
in our eagerness to do good for one another
and for all whom we meet this week.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
During the day, when apart
Lord, accept our prayers
and the gift of our love for one another
which we offer in faith and love.
May our life together bring us to your glory.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord.
Evening/Night Prayer together
Almighty Father, we thank you for all your gifts of love,
especially for each other.
Strengthen our love every day
so that our marriage may give us a share in your life.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord.
Questions for Action for the week
For your marriage: In what ways would you like to see your marriage grow in the months ahead? Share that this week.
For others: Think of some group that is working with young people in the Church. How could you support that group this week?
