THE COUPLE THAT PRAYS TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER.

Christ who feeds us
Jesus said to Philip: ‘Where can we buy some food for these people to eat?’ In spite of all the riches of our world, countless people die each year of starvation. We can feel totally helpless in the face of this and as a result we ignore it. Generosity is one of the great virtues of our people over the generations and is one that we need to practice in a special way today. But there are other hungers that we can do even more about and Jesus is calling on us to attend to these also. One of the greatest human hungers is for love and affection. This may be in our own close relationships of marriage and family life. There is also the hunger in so many people in our community today for someone to look out for them. That is a must if we are to be a true community of faith in the parish.
Morning Prayer, when together
God our Father and protector,
without you nothing is holy, nothing has value.
Guide us to everlasting life
by helping us use wisely
the blessings you have given to the world.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
During the day, when apart
Lord, receive the offering of our married love,
and bless us in our life together.
May our marriage make us holy
and lead us to eternal joy.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord.
Evening/Night Prayer together
Lord, our sacrament of marriage
is a living sign of your love for the Church.
Help us to radiate your love by the joy
and affection that we share with each other.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord.
Questions for Action for the week
For your marriage: Reflect on what you hunger for in your marriage and share this with each other this week.
